Project Overview:
EDI-Dolejs served as the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) engineering consultant for the Sherburne County Government Center Expansion, providing the design of the facility’s HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, security, and courtroom technology systems. The project includes a 100,000-square-foot addition and a 130,000-square-foot renovation that expands the county’s capacity, modernizes government operations, and enhances security, accessibility, and public services. The expansion features five new courtrooms, judge’s chambers, inmate delivery and holding areas, and office space for Court Administration, Community Corrections, and the County Attorney, with shelled space for two future courtrooms. Renovations also modernize office space for 13 departments, improve wayfinding, refresh the existing boardroom, and add a large staff café to support collaboration and future growth.
