Project Overview:

EDI-Dolejs served as Engineer of Record for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and audiovisual systems associated with the replacement of the Minnesota Masonic Home’s approximately 60-year-old chapel. The new non-denominational chapel combines modern building systems and improved accessibility with elements that honor the history of the original facility. 

Improvements included new HVAC, plumbing, lighting, fire protection, and integrated audiovisual systems, along with new restrooms, preparation and storage spaces, a wheelchair lift, and an accessible ramp. A stained-glass rose window from the original chapel was preserved and enhanced with new backlighting, maintaining an important connection to the building’s history.
