Project Overview:

EDI provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the transformation of an existing facility into the Four Rivers Environmental Learning Center, a 14,356-square-foot educational and visitor-focused destination in Channahon, Illinois. Designed with sustainability as a primary objective, the project incorporated innovative energy-efficient building systems and environmentally responsible technologies that support long-term operational performance while enhancing the visitor experience.

Serving as a hub for environmental education and community engagement, the facility includes public gathering spaces, meeting rooms, offices, a kitchen, and support areas designed to accommodate a wide range of educational programs and events.
